Kenwood TH-D75/D74 High Capacity Battery
The original battery for the Kenwood TH-D74/D75 series has a nominal capacity of 1850mAh. Measured with a 1A discharge current it barely can reach 1600mAh.
The batteries offered have a measured and verified capacity of 3000mAh or 5000mAh. I only use A grade LiPo cells. Every battery cell used in these battery packs are measured for capacity at 1A discharge and need to have the required capacity and need to be balanced. That will ensure that the battery performs satisfactory for a long period of use. Lifetimes are expected to exceed 5 years.
The battery packs are weighting 6oz or 7oz and are twice as thick then the original battery the radio ships with. To make up for the height and to fit the original belt clip, a spacer and two long screws are included. The battery housing surface is textured to provide a better grip.
The battery packs features a USB-C connector at the bottom for charging through a build in charger. The battery packs can also be charged through the radio using the 12V or the USB-C connector. However, when charging through the radio the charge time is significant longer.
The build in charger supports USB power, USB QC and USB PD power. It requires a supply capable of providing up to 3A @ 5V.
The housing color is black to match the radio. If you wish a different housing color specify it in the order comments.
