The battery offered has a measured and verified capacity of 3000mAh.E very cell used in this battery pack is measured for capacity at 1A discharge and paired to be balanced. Any battery cell not meting this incoming inspection will be send back to the supplier.
The battery pack weights 6oz and is twice as thick as the original battery the radio ships with. To make up for the height and to fit the original belt clip, a spacer and two long screws are included.
The battery pack features a USB-C connector at the bottom for charging through a build in balance charger. The battery pack can also be charged through the radio using the 12V or the USB-C connector. However, when charging through the radio the charge time is significant longer.
The build in charger supports USB power and USB QC (does not support PD power) and requires a supply providing up to 3A.
